About Swim Fanatics

POLICIES & RULES FOR ALL SWIM FANATICS PROGRAMMING

For School Year Swim Session Only:

  • An Annual Due of $65 per swimmer is required at the start of programming.
  • Your Monthly Auto Draft for our school year programming must be set up to hold your swimmer's space in your class of choice.
  • You are REQUIRED to give a 30-day notice in writing via private chat to Swim Fanatics Office on the Band App if you would like to pause or cancel your account.
  • You are REQUIRED to pay the draft that will occur after submitting your cancellation request if it falls within the 30 days.  Once the final draft has been processed, Swim Fanatics will cancel your draft. You do not need to do anything on your end. You will receive a credit (not a refund) for the lessons paid for by the final draft and can use them for lessons through the end of the school year session.
  • If you cancel your own draft, you will be charged a $65 fee for improper cancellation. If you paid in full for a session, you cannot freeze your account on your own and will be subject to the $65 fee.
  • Pausing your monthly draft will result in your spot being offered to another swimmer.
  • A waiver must be signed before you are allowed to start swimming lessons.

For May Intensive Sessions, Summer Sessions (Plunge, Splish, Splash, and Summer Private Lessons), Summer Camps, and Scholarships (Swim Lessons for Any Budget) Only:

  • The $65 Annual Dues does not need to be paid separately when registering for May/Summer Sessions and Summer Camps. It is included in the cost. For Swim Lessons for Any Budget, the Dues are covered by the scholarships.
  • Summer Private Lessons are set up on a draft and will need to follow the same draft guidelines found above under the section (For School Year Session Only).
  • A waiver must be signed before you are allowed to start swimming lessons. Summer Camps will have a different waiver that will need to be filled out and that waiver will be sent to those who registered via private chat in the Band App before the Summer Camp session begins.

For All Swim Sessions:

  • Group Lessons must have 2 students registered for each class. If your child remains the only student in their class for an extended period of time you will need to pay an upcharge or switch to another day and time with another student.
  • Swim Fanatics does not give refunds for any reason.
  • A make-up credit will be offered if the participant has a medical exemption letter stating they are not able to participate. This credit is not a refund and will be good for 1 full year towards additional programming.
  • Make-up lessons are offered and are located on the Missed/ Make up Lessons page in the Band app for lessons cancelled by clients or by Swim Fanatics. To schedule any make-up lessons, you will need to message Swim Fanatics Office in the Band app. (It is your responsibility to utilize the make-up page for all canceled or missed lessons.)
  • Lessons may be cancelled by the client up to the start time of the scheduled lesson. You must notify Swim Fanatics Office via private chat in Band App of your cancellation prior to class start time in order to receive a make-up lesson.
  • Swim Fanatics will decide if weather is threatening enough to cancel.
  • The pool may close at a moment's notice if fecal matter has entered the water.
  • We will do our best to notify you of any cancelled lessons by Swim Fanatics or pool closures by posting that information on the Band app under the label (Important Information).
  • Each session has an allotted number of make-up lessons allowed for missed lessons that were cancelled by the parent/ student.
    • Intensive Session 1: 1
    • Intensive Session 2: 1
    • May Only Private Lessons: 1
    • Plunge 1 Day/Week Session: 3
    • Splish Session: 2
    • Splash Session: 2
    • Summer Private Lessons: 3
    • Swim Lessons for Any Budget: (4 lessons: 1) & (8 lessons: 2) * Doctor's note required in order to receive a make-up for this session.
  • All lessons cancelled by Swim Fanatics may be made up and will not count towards the allotted amount.
  • All make-up lessons must be completed by the last day of the session in which you are enrolled, as they do not carry over into the next session.
  • It is advised you make up any missed lessons within 30 days of missing lessons. Waiting until the end of the session may result in loss of make-ups due to unavailable make-up spots.
  • Make-up lessons may only be scheduled by using the make-up page and may not be used as regular scheduled lessons.
  • Make up lessons may be scheduled after you have missed the lesson or before the missed lesson as long as they have been paid for (applies to draft payments).
  • Make certain you are able to attend the make-up day and time of your choice before requesting a make-up lesson.
  • If you cancel a make-up lesson that you scheduled, you forfeit that lesson as we have already paid an instructor to be there for both the original missed lesson and the missed make-up lesson.
  • Once you are confirmed for a make-up lesson you requested, you may not reschedule to a different time that day. Should you decide to not attend your original requested day and time, you will need to cancel, and it will be considered a cancelled make-up. The reason we no longer allow this is because last minute changes cause gaps in our instructors' schedules and if we allow rescheduling of a make-up, we end up paying our instructors for the original scheduled make-up and also for the new time that you would be requesting. This makes it difficult to maintain affordable swim lessons and small student to teacher ratios for our families.
  • A scheduled make-up lesson will be rescheduled if a new student registers for the day and time slot your make up was scheduled. The new student is attending the class day and time they are registered for and not doing a make-up lesson. Assigned lessons take priority over make up lessons.
  • A group lesson student will use up 2 of their allotted make-ups if they choose a spot labeled "Private" (for private lesson make ups) on the make-up page and are the only student in that class.
  • A waiver must be signed before you are allowed to start swimming lessons.
