About Swim Fanatics

POLICIES & RULES FOR ALL SWIM FANATICS PROGRAMMING

For Year-Round Swim Lessons:

  • An Annual Due of $65 per swimmer is required at the start of programming and yearly thereafter via draft while enrolled at Swim Fanatics. Do Not Pay for Summer 2025 Sessions).
  • Your Monthly Auto Draft for our year-round programming must be set up to hold your swimmer's space in your class of choice.
  • You are REQUIRED to give a 30-day notice in writing via private chat to Swim Fanatics Office on the Band App if you would like to pause or cancel your account.
  • You are REQUIRED to pay the draft that will occur after submitting your cancellation request if it falls within the 30 days.  Once the final draft has been processed, Swim Fanatics will cancel your draft. You do not need to do anything on your end. You will remain on the schedule for all lessons paid for by the final draft and any make up lessons must be completed within 30 days after notice is given.
  • If you cancel your own draft, you will be charged a $65 fee for improper cancellation. If you paid in full for a session, you cannot freeze your account on your own and will be subject to the $65 fee.
  • Pausing your monthly draft will result in your spot being offered to another swimmer but we will help you find a new lesson day and time when you return to lessons.
  • Swim Fanatics does not give refunds for any reason.
  • A make-up credit will be offered if the participant has a medical exemption letter stating they are not able to participate. This credit is not a refund and will be good for 1 full year towards additional programming.
  • Group Lessons must have 2 students registered for each class. If your child remains the only student in their class after two lessons have taken place, you will need to upgrade to private lessons or switch to another day and time with another student. (At Swim Fanatics discretion, the requirement to upgrade to private lessons may be waived in situations where 1 student in a group lesson is unavoidable.)
  • A waiver must be signed before you are allowed to start swimming lessons.
  • Summer Camps will have a different waiver that will need to be filled out and that waiver will be sent to those who registered via private chat in the Band App before the Summer Camp session begins.

Missed Lessons and Make-Up Lessons:

  • Lessons may be cancelled by the swimmer up to the start time of the scheduled lesson. You must notify Swim Fanatics Office via private chat in Band App of your cancellation prior to class start time in order to receive a make-up lesson.
  • No-shows or lessons cancelled after class start time will not receive a make-up lesson.
  • Every Swimmer is allowed 1 make-up lesson per month for lessons cancelled by the swimmer, unless a doctor's note is provided.
  • There is a max of 12 cancellations per year (Sep 2nd-Aug 31st) that can receive a make-up lesson. (Each cancellation by the swimmer counts as 1 cancellation).
  • The max number of cancellations that can receive a make-up lesson is based on how many months are left in the swim year at time of registration. (Example: Registered in May: the max will be 3.)
  • Make-up lessons must be re-scheduled within 30 days of cancelled lesson, or it will be forfeited.
  • Advance notices (7 days minimum) for vacation, life events, etc. will not count as a cancellation and will receive a make-up lesson.
  • Lessons cancelled by Swim Fanatics will not count as a cancellation and will receive a make-up lesson.
  • It is your responsibility to use the make-up page on the Band app and contact Swim Fanatics Office to schedule your make-up lessons.
  • Swim Fanatics will decide if weather is threatening enough to cancel.
  • The pool may close at a moment's notice if fecal matter has entered the water.
  • We will do our best to notify you of any cancelled lessons by Swim Fanatics or pool closures by posting that information on the Band app under the label (Important Information).
  • Make-up lessons may only be scheduled in available spots by Swim Fanatics Office and may not be used as regular scheduled lessons.
  • Make up lessons may be scheduled before or after you have missed the lesson as long as the lesson has been paid for (applies to draft payments).
  • Make certain you are able to attend the make-up day and time of your choice before requesting a make-up lesson.
  • If you cancel a make-up lesson that you scheduled, you forfeit that lesson as we have already paid an instructor to be there for both the original missed lesson and the missed make-up lesson.
  • Once you are confirmed for a make-up lesson you requested, you may not reschedule to a different time that day. Should you decide to not attend your original requested day and time, you will need to cancel, and it will be considered a cancelled make-up. The reason we no longer allow this is because last minute changes cause gaps in our instructors' schedules and if we allow rescheduling of a make-up, we end up paying our instructors for the original scheduled make-up and also for the new time that you would be requesting. This makes it difficult to maintain affordable swim lessons and small student to teacher ratios for our families.
  • A scheduled make-up lesson will be rescheduled if a new student registers for the day and time slot your make up was scheduled. The new student is attending the class day and time they are registered for and not doing a make-up lesson. Assigned lessons take priority over make-up lessons.
  • If 30 days' notice to cancel draft is given, all make-up lessons must be completed before the end of the 30-day period.
  • If 30 days' notice to pause draft due to extended vacation etc. is given, make-up lessons must be rescheduled within 30 days of returning to swim lessons.
  • Please utilize any instructor, day, and time offered by Swim Fanatics to ensure you receive a make-up. Make-up lesson spots are based on availability and are not guaranteed.
